Pets for Life

Caloundra Community Centre is committed to building a vibrant and sustainable community on the Sunshine Coast. The Centre’s activities concentrate on promoting social justice and inclusion by addressing the needs of the most socially isolated, disadvantaged and discriminated groups within the community. Programs facilitated by the Centre to achieve these goals include family support programs, community development initiatives, programs targeting seniors, emergency financial relief and adult literacy.

Pets for Life was established by the Centre in 2010 and is a free service provided to seniors or people with reduced capacity who require support in caring for their companion animal. The program matches volunteers with seniors and other participants in order to provide support to maintain their pets within their care, reduce social isolation and provide meaningful volunteer experiences for others within the community.

TFFF has approved three years support for the ongoing delivery and expansion of the Pets for Life program.
